On 21 May 2023, it was time to explore the strength of our Volunteers again with the tree planting project which is organized by ELCHK Youth Camp, Ma On Shan. Just as volunteers did last year, we really went to the deep slope to plant the baby trees and went to check on and to take care of our “baby” from a year ago at Luk Chau Shan, 'Planting on the Mine’ program organized by ELCHK …We had to measure the growth of the “baby trees” and input the data to check their status. The baby tree was only 6 cm higher than last year. The woods are our precious natural resources, as well as the habitat of much wildlife. Just like the saying, “It takes ten years to grow a tree, but a hundred years to rear a person”, a plantation needs at least 10 years to become a forest. We should treasure & protect our Nature!

The especially hot and sunny weather did not make it easy, but the teams showed great motivation and did an amazing job!
